DIKE OF TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make intervals among concrete bank bodies blocked even when a large number of divided concrete bank bodies move and tilt in the peripheral direction by embedding and connecting end plates at both side ends of sealing expansion joints in and to the end parts of the concrete bank bodies. SOLUTION: In a dike 2 of a tank, sealing expansion joints 5 arranged in a connecting arrangement among concrete bank bodies 3 expand freely following the movement and tilting of the concrete bank bodies 3 even when the concrete bank bodies 3 in the peripheral direction of the dike 2 move up and down, from side to side, back and forth (inside and outside of the dike), further in optional directions due to a large earthquake, so that the intervals among the concrete bank bodies 3 are always blocked by the sealing expansion joints 5, thereby preventing opening of them. Accordingly, even when the tank filled with a flammable liquid such as LNG and petroleum is damaged and leakage occurs due to the large earthquake, the liquid does not leak to the outside of the dike 2.
