Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control of Fusarium solani (dry rot) of taro and device therefor capable of preventing propagation of Fusarium solani and causing no growth injuries of taro. SOLUTION: In this control of Fusarium solani of taro, and taro is heated by continuously irradiating far infrared rays and the surface temperature is held at 60-70 deg.C for 1-5 minutes. The device used consists of a conveyor installed with a mesh belt 2 for conveying taro 1, far infrared heaters 3 and 4 arranged both upper and lower sides of the belt 2 and a controller 6 which controls output power of the heaters 3 and 4 and the velocity of the conveyor to keep the above described surface temperature and the holding time.
