Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow light attenuation without using an attenuation circuit. SOLUTION: A transmission-illuminated liquid crystal display element 1 is placed adjacently to an indication instrument composed from an indication pointer, a dial, etc. Behind the element 1, a lamp scale 3 and a bulb 2, a first light source, are provided. This first light source 2 transmissively illuminates the element 1. And a second light source 11 which illuminates the element 1 and the indication instrument is provided separately from the first light source 2 behind the dial 9. The first light source 2 and the second light source 11 are linked with the switches of the auxiliary lamps and the head light 2 of the car. When the head light is switched off as in the daytime, the first light source 2 is lighted to transmissively illuminate the element 1 alone, and when the above switches are on as in the nighttime, the first light source 2 is put off and the second light source 11 is lighted to illuminate the element 1 and the indication instrument. |
