Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of coating pattern control by providing the front end of a coating arm main body consisting of plural flexible arm members with a coating gun support so that the support is freely rotatable and rotating the support with the driving power of a driving motor placed within prescribed one of the arm members, wherein the driving power is transmitted to the support through a transmission mechanism. SOLUTION: In this device, the front end of a coating arm main body 4 is provided with a coating gun support 3 for supporting a coating gun 2 so that the support 3 is freely rotatable around a supporting shaft 6. Also, the arm main body 4 consists of a structure in which flexible first to third arm members 5, 7 and 11 are connected to each other and each of a driving motor for rotation and a driving motor for swing is placed within the first arm member 5. When the driving motor for rotation is driven, a cylinder 15 is rotated around the supporting shaft 6 and this rotation is transmitted through a driving bevel gear 20 to a driven bevel gear 23. Then, the transmitted rotation is further transmitted through a rotary timing belt mechanism 19 and a driving bevel gear 27 of a rotary gear mechanism 18 to a driven bevel gear 28 of the mechanism 18 to rotate the support 3 around the supporting shaft 6 through a reduction gear 14.
