MULTIMEDIA DATA SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store multimedia data required for one content to a network with a different transmission speed distributingly in a multimedia on-demand system. SOLUTION: Movie data 9, caption data 5 are have reference clocks 11, 12 used for adjustment of clocks in a terminal equipment to correct succeeding data to provide an accurate time in a header of each processing unit and time codes indicating times of succeeding data 16, 17 are stored in a header of caption data and a header of each frame. Let a time difference of data 5, 9 to be reached simultaneously to the terminal equipment be dt, the data 9 arrived first are buffered for the time dt till the other data 5 reach. A time code for the caption data 16 is revised by converting the time difference of the reference clock data 11, 12.
