Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus which achieves easier maintenance. SOLUTION: When a high pressure mercury lamp 11 is turned on, visible light beam and ultraviolet rays are emitted from the high pressure memory lamp 11. The visible light beam and the ultraviolet rays from the high pressure mercury lamp 11 are reflected on reflectors 6, 7 and 10 or directly reach a globe 12 to irradiate downward through the globe 12, to make a lower portion bright. The ultraviolet rays reaching the globe 12 are absorbed by a photocatalyst layer 18 and a hole is generated inside TiO2 within the photocatalyst layer 18 so that an oxidizing capacity is held correspondingly to the energy by a band gap to oxidize material adhering to the surface of the globe 12. Deodorizing is also accomplished by decomposition of an odor substance. The oxidizing action thus obtained achieves a cleaning of the environment by disaffection and sterilization of sundry germs, and purifying of fouling and decomposition of tar of tobacco, fat components and the like. Thus, adhesion to the surface of the globe 12, eventually lowering luminous flux irradiated through the globe 12 can be prevented to eliminate cleaning action such as wiping the globe 12, thereby facilitating maintenance. |
