Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color cathode ray tube device having the total length shorter than the conventional one by adopting the ratio of the distance from the central position of the gap between a high voltage electrode and a focusing electrode to the stem side edge surface of a core to the inner diameter of the stem side edge part of the core to the formula relating to the maximum deflection angle of the color cathode ray tube and the aspect ratio. SOLUTION: A ratio of the distance from the central position of a gap 40 between a high voltage electrode 36 and a focusing electrode 35 positioned on a stem 5 side to the edge surface 51A on the stem 5 side of a core 51 to the inner diameter D of the end part of the stem 5 side of the core 51, L/D, is set so as to satisfy the relation of X/(Y-2.5X)
