Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect time when an object touches a sensor panel with high reliability without being affected by means of a difference in physical characteristics for respective users in detecting that the object touches the sensor panel based on the relative speed of the object approaching the sensor panel. SOLUTION: A touch time decision method for deciding time when the approaching object touches the sensor panel 14 is constituted of respective processes for using (a) a controller 16 connected to the sensor panel 14, for deciding (b) the speed value of the approaching object based on current flowing between the sensor panel 14 and the controller 16, for repeating (c) the speed value deciding method (b) until the speed value reaches the maximum value and for generating (d) a signal displaying that the approaching object touches the sensor panel 14.
