Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting device for ensuring that the friction amount to be produced along the axial path of the adjustment is decreased as low as possible when load is applied in the radial direction. SOLUTION: A protecting device for an insert driving shaft is provided with inner and outer protective tubes 8, 9 capable of being adjusted in the direction of the longitudinal axis 5. The outer tube 8 is provided with three pair of ribs 13, 14 arranged along the circumference and among which groove parts 11 are formed. Guide webs 15 project inward and toward the longitudinal axis 5 so as to position the outer protecting tube 8 in relation to the inner projective tube 9 and support it in the radial direction.
