Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower in a dry quencher capable of feeding an inert gas stream from which coke powder particles in considerable amount is removed at inexpensive quencher cost to a boiler. SOLUTION: In this cooling tower, a cooling chamber and a prechamber are continuously provided in the upper and lower part of a cooling tower body 11' and a gas blowing port of an inert gas is provided in the lower part of the cooling chamber and a discharge port of the inert gas is provided in the upper part-forming part of cooling chamber of the tower circumferential wall 50 and a cyclic duct 19' is internally provided in a prechamber-forming part 50a of the tower circumferential wall 50 and an outside duct 20 is connected to the discharge port 19a of the cyclic duct 19'. In this case, plural number of protruded parts 35 continuously extended until nearly upper and lower ends of periphery side-forming face 26a and separating coke particles 33 accompanied by an inert gas stream 32 are arranged at prescribed intervals on the periphery side-forming face 26a on the discharge port 19a of the cyclic duct 19'. |
