PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a handily washing of rice without wetting hands at home utilizing a dish washer by adding a rice washing process for washing rice to washing, rinsing and drying processes while including a draining function and a rinsing function while draining in the program of the rice washing process. SOLUTION: When a rice washing process is started, a pump 11 for draining is driven to drain washing water at a drain port 12 and then, the driving of the draining pump 11 is stopped once to start the supply of water at a water support port 57. When a report of reaching an amount of water exceeding a fixed value is transmitted to a control box 20, a power source is closed to a motor 5 to start the driving of a washing pump 4 and the water supplied is jetted out of a nozzle 9 of a sprinkler 8. The jetted water hits rice grains 22 passing through tiny holes 30 of a rice washing cage 21 to polish the rice grains 22 being rubbed mutually. Foreign matters such as bran are released outside the rice washing cage 21 through the tiny holes 30 together with the water and drained at the drain port 12 by a draining pump 11 via a filter 6 for leavings.
