PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously do work for grubbing spring onion, etc., like white onion (deep-rooted onion) drilled in a field, conveying it and cutting its root part, and storing the prepared spring onion, etc. SOLUTION: On a self-traveling machine body, a grubbing conveyor device 8 is arranged which has a grubbing blade atop from the lower front to the center part of the machine body and is provided with an endless bar conveyor 7 connected to the grubbing blade. A couple of clamping conveyor belts 9 which clamp spring onion conveyed by the conveyor device 8 from the right and left and convey it backward while releasing its root part are laid successively to the tail end part of the grubbing conveyor device 8. Below the clamping conveyor belts 9, a root part cutting blade 10 is disposed which cuts the root part out of the spring onion, etc., clamped and conveyed on the clamping conveyor belts 9 and behind the clamping conveyor belts 9, a storage base 18 for storing the prepared spring onion, etc., is fitted.
