Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a job processing system capable of predicting the processing time of a job described in a page description language(PDL) before interpreting the job and improving the throughput of the system. SOLUTION: Experience data obtained at the time of processing jobs for respective clients 10a to 10c by respective slave front end processors (S-FEPs) are previously managed by a predicted data managing part 11f for every document class, and at the time of selecting an S-FEP for processing a job received by a job receiving part 11a, an execution time predicting part 11e calculates the processing predicting time of the job by using the experience data of a prescribed document class managed by the managing part 11f. A job execution state managing part 11c manages the processing predicting time calculated by the predicting part 11e for every S-FEP, calculates the processing waiting time of each S-FEP and outputs the calculated time to a scheduling part 11b as execution state data. At the time of receiving a new job, the scheduling part 11b selects an S-FEP capable of processing the job most quickly based upon the execution state data. |
