UNIT DEBUGGING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the debugging of a sequence program using a unit even when a unit for a specific purpose or external equipment connected to the unit is not available by running software where dummy data on the unit are set from peripheral equipment. SOLUTION: On condition that the buffer memory allocation of a unit to be debugged is reflected on a buffer memory 15 of a debugging unit 1 as it is and reading from and writing to the buffer memory 15 of the debugging unit 1 from S/W running on the peripheral equipment 11 are possible, it is considered that a CP 6 operates as if the debugging unit 1 could substitute for a unit (A/D conversion unit, high-speed counter, etc.). Consequently, the sequence program in the PC 6 can be debugged even when the unit to be debugged or external equipment, etc., used for the unit is available when the debugging unit 1 is available.
