PIPELINE INTERIOR CLEANING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clean the interior of a pipeline with ease by providing a device main body which is floated from the bottom of a pipeline with the buoyance of a buoyance control tank underwater and movable in the pipe line and a cleaning head which detachingly removes deposited articles on the inner wall of the pipeline. SOLUTION: A pipe interior cleaning device is inserted into a pipeline 1 from an intake pit where a diver introduces air from a high pressure air cylinder into a buoyance control tank in water. Then, the cleaning device floats up from the bottom 10 of the pipeline so that wheels 50 of support legs 5 may come into contact with the ceiling inner wall 12 of the pipeline 1. Then, an expansion holding part 70 of a transfer means 7 is expanded, thereby pressing wheels 73 of a traveling means against the inner wall surface of the pipeline and expanding an arm 41 of a cleaning means 40 until a cleaning head is collided against the inner wall of the pipeline. When the transfer means 7 and a cleaning means rotary shaft 33 are driven, the cleaning device is moved in the direction of the arrow A so that the arm 41 may be turned in the inner surface intersecting with the transfer direction at right angles, thereby cleaning the inner wall surface of the line. Furthermore, a cleaning state is photographed with a video camera 9 so that the visual data may be sent to a personnel in charge on shore.
