Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface type light source device which can obtain uniformity of light emission on a screen although the light source device is equipped with a resin substrate which is sectioned in a wedgelike shape and can be provided with a light scattering part by using a method of high mass- productivity. SOLUTION: The light scattering part 7 which is uniform in area density is formed on the reverse surface of the resin substrate 2 which is sectioned almost in a wedgelike shape. At this time, light which travels in the resin substrate 2 increases in the quantity of emission to the screen with the distance from a light source lamp 1 because of the wedgelike cross sectional shape of the resin substrate 2 as the angle θ of incidence on the border surface of the resin substrate 2 varies. Therefore, even when the position on the reverse surface 4 of the resin substrate 2 slightly shifts, its influence is small, so the light scattering part 7 can be provided by a method of mass-productivity.
