Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition capable of effectively preventing the dyed hair, especially the hair dyed with an acid hair dye, from decoloration and maintaining the color for a long period by blending a specific compound having a hair permeating property at a specific pH. SOLUTION: This composition for a hair is obtained by blending 2- hydroxybenzylalcohol and/or phenylethyleneglycol at pH2-7, especially at pH-2-6. The 2-hydroxybenzylalcohol or phenylethyleneglycol can be used each individually or in a combination, and the blending amount is preferably 0.1-30wt.% based on the total composition. This composition for hair can impart a high conditioning effect to the hair after using it and keep the effect for a long period.
