LONG NOZZLE ATTACHING/DETACHING DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUS CASTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely enable the automatic attachment/detachment of a long nozzle with a simple structure by using a rotary engagement means by a bayonet engagement or a screwed engagement for the attachment/detachment of the long nozzle with a nozzle at a ladle side. SOLUTION: An expansible arm 12 receiving the long nozzle 3 is rotated with a swing driving device 6 to the lower position of the ladle 1 and the axial center of a long nozzle holder 19 at the tip part of the arm 12 and the axial center of the nozzle 18 at the ladle side are aligned by working a cylinder 11 for driving ascent/descent and a cylinder 9 for expansible driving. The nozzle 18 is inserted into the nozzle holder 19 by further ascending the holder with the cylinder 11. A holder supporting cylinder 20 is rotated by driving a hydraulic motor for driving the rotation and the attachment/detachment to engage the bayonet engaging groove and an engaging projection part. When the expansible arm 12 is descended with the cylinder 11, the holder supporting cylinder 20 is separated downward from the nozzle holder 19 to complete the attachment of the long nozzle 3.
