Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover sealed argon gas for welding from a gas consisting mainly of argon exhausted from a single crystal manufacturing furnace. SOLUTION: The pressure of a gas 1 consisting mainly of argon exhausted from a single crystal manufacturing furnace is elevated and the gas reacts with oxygen in a reactor 5 by catalytic operation to convert it into carbon dioxide and water. Thereafter, the reaction product is cooled and introduced into a PAS 8 using a synthetic zeolite to eliminate nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water by adsorption and if necessary, oxygen concn. is adjusted and then, it is liquified by heat exchange with a highly pure liquified argon used as an atmospheric gas for a single crystal manufacturing furnace by means of a heat exchanger 22. |
