Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system in which each base station selects a radio channel used automonously and discretely by avoiding the effect of a noise in a transmission reception band due to spurious radiation from a base station or a mobile station resident in the vicinity so as to monitor the radio wave. SOLUTION: A radio wave monitor function of a base station is made up of a reception means 11 receiving a radio wave signal, a channel setting means 12 setting a received radio channel, a reception level measurement means 13 measuring a level of a received signal, an interference wave/noise discrimination means 14 discriminating whether the received signal is an interference wave or noise to discriminate the presence of interference, and a operating channel object list storage means 15 storing the result of discrimination of the presence of interference. The interference wave/noise discrimination means 14 discriminates noise from an interference wave so as to avoid the effect of a noise in a transmission reception band due to spurious radiation from a base station or a mobile station resident in the vicinity so as to monitor the radio wave thereby allowing base stations to select an available radio channel automonously and discretely.
