Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gap variable type gas wiping device of a simple structure with which more uniform gas wiping is possible even when warpage arises in the transverse direction of a metallic strip. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a nozzle body 11, an upper lip member 12 which is joined at one end to this nozzle body 11 and a lower lip member 13 which is likewise joined at one end to the nozzle body 11 and is installed at its other end in proximity to the front end of the upper lip member 12 to form a gas blow-off port of an acute angle. A remote controllable gas blow-off port gap adjusting member 14 of a thermal deformation type is mounted at the outside surface of the upper lip member 12.
