BLOOD VESSEL EXPANDER AND CATHETER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood vessel expander and a catheter that are less likely to kink near their junction even if the blood vessel expander or the catheter uses a tube formed by the joining together of two tubes with different rigidities. SOLUTION: This blood vessel expander 1 includes an inner tube 5, an outer tube 2 provided coaxial with the inner tube 5, and an expander 9 attached to the outer tube 2 at its first end and to the inner tube 5 at the second end. The outer tube 2 consists of a second-end tube 3 and a first-end tube 4 secured to the second-end tube 3, the end of the first-end tube 4 serving as an entering end-tube part entering the first end of the second-end tube and having a number of slits or pores.
