Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the additive electric power on respective electrodes, to lower the electric' power and to suppress the deposits on these electrodes by providing the corona charger with plural arrays of the planar electrodes formed with sawtooth-shaped discharge parts. SOLUTION: The planar electrodes 13 formed with the sawtooth-shaped discharge parts 12 for electrostatically charging a photoreceptor consist of a stainless steel material and are formed by etching. These electrodes are constituted by forming many saw teeth at equal intervals on the side edges facing the image region of the photosensitive of a photoreceptor drum which is a body to be discharged. The electrodes are so installed as to face the surface of the photoreceptor apart a prescribed spacing. Such planar electrodes 13 and further another planar electrodes 11 are disposed. The planar electrodes 13, 131 are fixed to both sides of a supporting member 132 via adhesives 13, 136. Electrode supporting members 111, 112 are provided with both ends of the supporting member 132. The position of the supporting member 132 is determined by upper supporting surfaces 1131, 1141 and the distances between the sawtooth-shaped discharge parts 12, 121 formed in the longitudinal direction of the front end edges of the planar electrodes 13, 131 and the photoreceptor are exactly held. |
