Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce false image (grating robe) without increasing the number of ultrasonic elements in a device measuring an object by ultrasonic transmission/reception waves. SOLUTION: A transmitter/receiver transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave has a plurality of wave transmission elements 100 and a plurality of reception elements 102. The plurality of transmission elements 100 and reception elements 102 are arranged so that a group of virtual elements 104 disperses ununiformly on the transmission and reception surface maintaining partially local concentration. Here, the virtual elements 104 are specified for every combination of the transmission elements and reception elements and expressed by synthesizing the position vectors of the transmission elements and the reception elements. As the pitch between virtual elements become a half or less of the wave length in many cases, false images are suppressed and the uniformity of the pitch between the virtual elements is removed and also false image is suppressed in this sense.
