Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically inform a message of 'facsimile communication state' to a new caller by interrupting temporarily facsimile communication when a function of a catchphone service is effectively utilized and other person makes a call during facsimile reception. SOLUTION: In the case of detecting a catchphone signal by a catchphone detection circuit 5 during facsimile reception, a catchphone notice signal to ask transmission interruption is sent to a facsimile communication opposite party in the stage of end of data reception in the unit of blocks. A line is connected to a caller causing a catchphone signal by hooking an automatic hooking circuit 6. Then, a voice reply transmission circuit 7 sends a voice message informing the facsimile communication state to the caller. Then, the line is connected to the facsimile communication opposite party by using the automatic hooking circuit 6 to make hooking, and a restart notice signal to ask transmission restart is sent to the facsimile communication opposite party.
