PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand a printable area by printing and recording use information in a 3rd thermosensitive layer so that the information overlaps with print information in a 1st thermosensitive layer and print information in a 2nd thermosensitive layer. SOLUTION: When a card begins to be used, heat energy is emitted by a thermal head to make the 1st thermosensitive recording layer 43 turn yellow and a use record is printed on the card. Under a driving condition 1, the use record is printed and when the print area of the card becomes full, heat energy is emitted by the thermal head to make the 2nd thermosensitive recording layer 44 turn blue, thereby printing a use record on the card. Under a driving condition 2, the use record is printed and when the print area of the card becomes full, heat energy is emitted by the thermal head to make the 3rd thermosensitive recording layer 45 color in black, thereby printing a use record on the card. At this time, the use record is recorded on the printed use record one over the other or shifting from it not to overlap under the driving condition 2.
