SOLUTION: In this digital copying machine provided with an original reader 100, a copying device 200 and an operation unit 400, the printer control circuit 504 of the copying device 200 controls a paper feeding interval, so as not to abnormally raise the temp. inside an LED lighting power source 506, based on a detection temperature signal 601 from the LED lighting power source 506, to execute the drive control of an LED head 503. Therefore, even if the capacity of the LED lighting power source 506 is extremely large, the down of the power source caused by the overcapacity of the power source never occurs, at the time of printing high density image information.
