Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance safety by issuing an alarm certainly when the braking force becomes insufficient due to variation of the load on the car. SOLUTION: A slope start assisting device concerned is composed of a car stop sensing means 13 to sense the car stopped condition, a driving force shutoff sensing means 14 to sense the condition of the driving force being transmitted, a pressure sensing means 6A to sense the pressure of a working fluid for a service brake, a control valve 7 installed so that it can seal the working fluid, and a control means 9 which is to control the operation of the valve 7. When car stop is sensed by the sensing means 13 and a driving force shutoff condition is sensed by the sensing means 14, the control means 9 puts the control valve 7 in the sealing operation if it is judged that the pressure of the working fluid is higher than the specified value according to the information given by the pressure sensing means 6A.
