Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of an RAM storing printing data by providing a data compression means compressing received image data and a compressed data decoding means again developing the compressed data stored in a memory to the image data. SOLUTION: The interface control part 20 of a ticket issuing printer 1 receives a ticket issuing command from a host device 21 to transmit respective data to a receiving buffer 34. The receiving buffer 34 receives image data and the image data is compressed by a data compression means 36 such as a circuit or a program to be stored in an RAM 35. A main control part 19 again develops the compressed data stored in the RAM 35 to the image data by a compressed data decoding means 37 to transmit the image data to the printing editing part 32 of a printing control part 23. The printing head control part 33 drives a printing head 18 on the basis of the image data to perform printing on a medium.
