PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the outer size of the display device compact even when a display panel is large-sized and to obtain the display device offering easiness of assembling by providing a specific case supporting a display panel, an operation section and a signal processing circuit board or the like and protecting them to cover the outer parts of them. SOLUTION: A case for a liquid crystal television receiver is made up of three cases, a top case 2, a center case 3 and a bottom case 4. A liquid crystal display panel 5 is fitted between the top case 2 and the center case 3, an operation section 8 is fitted between the top case 2 at the surrounding under the liquid crystal display panel and a shield case covering the surrounding of the liquid crystal display panel 5, and a projection 8b is projected from the top case 2. Furthermore, circuit boards 9a, 9b and a back light 10 are fitted between the center case and the bottom case 4. The top case 2 and the center case 3 are fixed by screws 20 and the bottom case 4 are fixed to the center case 3 by screws 21.
