Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber compsn. for open cross-linking which can give a rubber article having good elasticity, tensile strength, etc., while preventing the surface from becoming sticky by using a specific compd. as the antioxidant. SOLUTION: This rubber compsn. for open cross-linking is prepd. by compounding a rubber with a compd. having phenylene and imino groups as the antioxidant together with an org. peroxide and a cross-linking aid. Examples of the compd. having phenylene and imino groups are benzimidazole compds. represented by formulas I, II, and III and a 2,2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline polymer represented by formula IV. Usually, 0.5-2.0 pts.wt. antioxidant is added to 100 pts.wt. rubber. The cross-linking is peformed pref. at 180-220 deg.C for 5-10min. The benzimidazole compd. may be 2-mercaptoethylbenzimidazole or an iron salt of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole. |
