Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically remove iciclelike slug attached to a sprue of a smelting furnace. SOLUTION: A prick 6 to remove an iciclelike slug 3 generated on a sprue 2 of a smelting furnace from the horizontal direction is provided on the sprue 2 of the smelting furnace in an advancing/retractable manner in the horizontal plane. The prick 6 is provided in a retractable manner from a seal box 4, and a shower device 8 and a water tank are preferably provided in the seal box so as to peel the slag attached thereto.
