Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to seal liquid crystals between both electrode substrates without adopting seals by adopting the gelatinous liquid crystals and effectively utilizing the characteristics thereof. SOLUTION: Spacers 30 sprayed to the electrode substrate 10 are heated and are temporally fixed to the electrode substrate 10. Particulate adhesives 40 sprayed to the electrode substrate 10 are preheated in a particulate adhesive preheating stage S3 and are temporally fixed to the electrode substrate 10. Next, the gelatinous smectic liquid crystals 50 are applied to a conical shape on the electrode substrate 20 in a liquid crystal applying stage S4 and thereafter, both electrode substrates 10, 20 are superposed on each other via the spaces 30, the particulate adhesives 40 and the smectic liquid crystals 50 in the atm. in a superposing and pressurizing stage S5. Both electrode substrates 10, 20 are heated and are then pressurized in a heating and pressurizing stage S6. A sealant is thereafter applied over the respective outer peripheral parts of both electrode substrates 10, 20 to form a sealing layer 60 in a sealing stage S7. |
