Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformize the thickness of artificial marble to prevent the partial deterioration of characteristics such as impact strength or the like by injecting a syrup for artificial marble into a mold in such a state that both end parts or peripheral edge part of a rigid member and the flange plate of the mold are fixed by a grasping metal fitting to heat and polymerize the same. SOLUTION: Two upper and lower box-shaped molds 2 are used and, after the peripheral edge part of a plate-shaped rigid member 1 is held between the flange plates protruding from the peripheral edges of the openings of both molds 2 to be fixed by a vise 3, a syrup for artificial marble is injected into the molds 2 from the injection ports provided to the side walls of both molds 2. Next, the whole is introduced into an oven in this state to be heated and polymerized and, when both molds 2 are detached after cooling, a composite wherein artificial marbles are provided to both surfaces of the plate-shaped rigid member 1 is obtained. Since the movement of the rigid member up and down as well as right and left is perfectly prevented by this method when the syrup for artificial marble is not yet cured at the initial stage of polymerization, the composite wherein the thickness of the artificial marbles on both surfaces of the rigid member are uniform can be produced.
