Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wide flange shape from being twisted without generating waves in a web by restricting an end part of a flange of the wide flange shape in a straight manner in the longitudinal direction from each side, and performing the natural cooling while the heat radiation is suppressed from each surface of the web of the wide flange shape. SOLUTION: One end side of flanges 3a, 3b of a wide flange shape 3 is loaded on a heat insulation plate 4 in a leaning manner, a heat insulation plate 5 is erected and leaned by the other end of the flanges 3a, 3b of the wide flange shape 3 placed in the I-shaped attitude. After the wide flange shape 3 in the I-shaped attitude is held by two heat insulation plates 4, 5, a lower member 2 and a lower part of the heat insulation plate 5 are fixed and two heat insulation plates 4, 5 are fixed by an upper member 6. The wide flange shape 3 is cooled to the temperature close to the normal temperature while it is carried in the condition in which a cooling bed is held by the heat insulation plates 4, 5. The flanges 3a, 3b and a web 3d are cooled while kept at approximately same temperature, and no twisting due to the thermal stress is generated.
