Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new specific cobalt Schiff base complex, providing an oxygen separating solution having oxygen adsorbing and desorbing ability by dissolving the complex and an axial ligand coordinating in the 5 site in its axial direction in a polar solvent or the polar solvent and a hydrophobic solvent. SOLUTION: This new cobalt Schiff base complex is shown by the formula (R1 to R3 are each H, phenyl or a 1-10C alkyl or alkoxy, R4 to R6 are each phenyl, a 1-10C alkyl, or alkoxy, or a halogen; Me is methyl), is excellent in oxygen adsorbing and desorbing ability, is capable of providing a solution which is in a liquid phase in an oxygen adsorbing state and an oxygen desorbing state and is capable of separating oxygen from an oxygen-containing gas such as air in high efficiency by dissolving the complex and an axial ligand coordinating in the 5 site in its axial direction in a polar solvent or a mixed solvent of the polar solvent and a hydrophobic solvent. The complex is obtained by reacting a salicylaldehyde derivative with a 3-chloro-1-propenyl derivative, reacting the reaction product with 2,3-diamino-2,3-dimethylbutane and reacting the formed Schiff base with cobalt. |
