CONTACT STRUCTURE FOR SLIDING SWITCH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the carbonization of the slide face of a pole plate due to arc by providing the pole plate with a thin groove portion narrower than the width of the slide contact portion of a movable armature and a cavity portion peripherally provided in a fixed contact. SOLUTION: A slide-movable armature 1 has the end provided with a slide contact portion 1a put in slide contact with the plate face 2e of a pole plate 2 and a contact portion put in contact with a fixed contact 3a. In the pole plate 2, a groove 2a is made right under the center of the slide contact portion 1a of the movable armature 1. The groove 2a consists of a thin groove portion 2c narrower than the width L1 of the slide contact portion 1a of the movable armature 1 and a cavity portion 2d peripherally provided in the fixed contact 3a. A terminal 3 which has the fixed contact 3a at one end and a connection terminal at the other end in one unit is inserted and molded in the pole plate 2.
