The quartz tube is evacuated to vacuum and is heated with a heater 7 to melt the base stock 5a of the sample. A gas is fed into the quartz tube to forcibly fit the melted sample into the crucible. After the melted sample is allowed to cool and is solidified, the crucible is removed from the quartz tube, and then, the sample is taken out of the crucible.
