Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the manufacture of a slender sample of a brittle material at a sufficient yield rate. SOLUTION: The sample which is desired to be produced to a base stock having less wettability and a perforated crucible 1 having the same section shape as the sample and equipped with an attachable and detachable cap at the bottom are inserted into a bottomed quartz tube 4, and the base stock 5a of the sample is inserted into the upper part of the crucible 1. The quartz tube is evacuated to vacuum and is heated with a heater 7 to melt the base stock 5a of the sample. A gas is fed into the quartz tube to forcibly fit the melted sample into the crucible. After the melted sample is allowed to cool and is solidified, the crucible is removed from the quartz tube, and then, the sample is taken out of the crucible.
