Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a distinct red color compound which is excellent esp. in lightfastness, heat resistance, etc., by synthesizing a new anthraquinone color compd. having an intermolecular salt structure. SOLUTION: An anthraquinone color compd. having an intermolecular salt structure and repersented by formula III (wherein X is H or a group represented by formula IV; and Y is an inorg. acid or an arom. carboxylic or sulfonic acid) is obtd. by reacting 1-chloroanthraquinone or 1,5-dichloroanthraquinone with 4-amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine in the presence of a deoxidizing agent in an inert solvent at 100-200 deg.C and reacting the resultant compd. represented by formula II with an inorg. acid or an arom. carboxylic or sulfonic acid in an org. solvent or water to form a salt.
