Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sintering process for a bulk material of an oxide type high-temperature superconductor having high critical current density by improving the characteristics of Yba2 Cu3 OX as a bulk material for an oxide type high- temperature superconductor. SOLUTION: The particles of an oxide type high-temperature superconductor Yba2 Cu3 OX are dipped in a solution comprising a solute SnI4 and a solvent and the solvent is evaporated to form a uniform SnI4 thin layer on the surface of the particles of Yba2 Cu3 OX. Then, the product is monoaxial compression- molded and sintered in an oxygen atmosphere at 900-1,100 deg.C to give a high- temperature superconductor having at least 500A/cm of critical current density at 77 deg. K and having improved intergranular linkage and good orientation.
