WATERDROP REMOVAL DEVICE FOR MIRROR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and cost by reducing number of part items. SOLUTION: A waterdrop removal device 1 for a mirror is equipped with a mirror 10 which can be oscillated vertically and horizontally, a linear motor 17 for vertical motion oscillating the mirror 10 vertically, a linear motor 18 for horizontal motion oscillating the mirror 10 horizontally, and a control means controlling the operation of the linear motors 17, 18 for vertical and horizontal motion. The waterdrop removal device 1 is further equipped with an oscillation means actuating the linear motor 17 for vertical motion at a predetermined frequency (1-10kHz). In this case, the mirror 10 is oscillated using the linear motor 17 for vertical motion, causing a piezo-electric vibrator to be omitted thereby enabling the weight and cost to be reduced. Moreover, because a central shaft 22A of the linear motor 17 for vertical motion and the mirror 10 are not adhered together, the removal of waterdrop can be performed surely without a connection part to be removed by vibration.
