AUTOMATIC FIRE-EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic fire-extinguishing system that can be easily set in a place where various equipment which should not come in contact with water is set and in small spaces and that can automatically extinguish fires by providing inside a limited space an incombustible gas generation means which generates incombustible gas in response to heat. SOLUTION: An incombustible gas generation means 2 is set in an appropriate position inside a limited space 1, such as a mailbox or a telephone booth. A chemical reacting with heat to produce nitrogen gas and molded into the required size is used for the incombustible gas generation means 2 set in the space 1. If a fire occurs inside the space 1, the chemical used in the incombustible gas generation means 2 reacts with the heat of the fire to produce nitrogen gas, which then spreads into the space 1, decreasing oxygen around the fired part and extinguishing the fire. Thus the system can be used even in places which should not come in contact with water or in very small spaces, etc., making it possible to readily and automatically extanguish fires.
