ELECTROSTATIC CHARGER FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charger for an electrophotographic image forming device capable of electrostatically charging in a uniform state with less environmental fluctuation. SOLUTION: Outside a conductive substrate 7 on which a DC voltage is impressed, at least two or more resistance layers 8 and 9 are installed, and at least the outermost layer of the resistance layers is formed like a belt (belt body 6), then, the belt body 6 is brought into contact with a body to be charged 2 so that the body 2 may be electrostatically charged. A roller 4 is constituted by providing the resistance layer 8 on the outer circumference of the conductive substrate 7.
