CAST IRON PRODUCT AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce parts having different properties in one cast iron product without executing an assembling process and applying a heat treatment by beforehand setting a pearlitic promoter in a cavity of a mold corresponding to a pearlitic composition part. SOLUTION: In an upper flask 2a and a lower flask 2b, the molding sand 3 is fitted in each flask and also, in these flasks, the cavity 4 corresponding to the cast iron product is formed. In the cavity 4, the part 4a corresponding to a ferritic part is held to an empty space, but in the part 4b corresponding to the pearlitic part, the cubic pearlitic promoter 5 is inserted. The pearlitic promoter 5 is the one filling powdery copper into a foam styrene lost at molten iron temp. At the time of pouring molten metal of FCD cast iron having ferritic composition into a mold 1 from a runner 3', the part of the ferritic part is integrally formed to the FCD cast iron of the pearlitic composition by acting the pearlitic promoter 5.
