Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To prevent generation of defective welds by separating the filler wire from the molten pool until the fluctuation width of the filler wire current value is the first relation value or more, and stopping the energization to the filler wire when the fluctuation width is the second relation value or more. CONSTITUTION: The first treatment is achieved where the fluctuation width of the filler wire current or the filler wire voltage is obtained while the filler wire 6 which is brought into contact with the molten pool is moved in the separating direction from the molten pool, and the movement is continued until the fluctuation width is the first relation value (energizing current fluctuation detecting threshold value) or more. When the fluctuation width is the first relation value or more, the energization to the filler wire 6 is stopped, and then, the second relation value (voltage detection threshold value) set to the voltage value between the welding arc 8 and the molten pool is compared with the filler wire voltage, and if the filler wire voltage is the second relation value or more, the energization to the filler wire is re-started. If the filler wire voltage is less than the second relation value, the second treatment is achieved that the filler wire 6 is moved to the direction of the molten pool until the filler wire voltage is the second relation value or more.
