Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make cutting of insulating substrates possible without the formation of burrs by constituting insulating substrates holding liquid crystals of flexible resin substrates and cutting in these substrates by means of rotary cutters moving horizontally while pressing the lateral sides thereof downward. SOLUTION: The transparent insulating resin substrates having flexibility are arranged to face each other and the liquid crystals are injected via seals therein. The lateral sides of the substrates are cut in by means of the rotary cutters 4 moving horizontally under pressurization downward. The depth of the cuts is controlled by auxiliary rollers disposed in front of and/or behind the rotary cutters 4 and made vertically variable around the center of rotation and is determined by the spacing distance between the base of the auxiliary rollers and the blade tips of the rotary cutters 4. The rotary cutters 4, pressed downward, are bitten and cut into the insulating sheets and the blades are rotated by the resistance at the time of moving the blades in the horizontal direction. The sheets are thus disconnected to the right and left by the thin blades and are disconnected along the line without the occurrence of the burrs. |
