Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search a beacon surely by determining whether the beacon is present or not based on the correlation between the receiving signal of response wave from the beacon and a spread spectrum signal. SOLUTION: A burst generator 13 outputs a burst signal C based on a source oscillation signal (a) and a signal (b) for burst. It is then subjected to spread spectrum modulation 15 using a spread signal being generated 14 and transmitted, as an interrogation wave, from an antenna 16 toward the ground surface. In resonance to the interrogation wave, an antenna 21 and a capacitor 22 in the beacon 2 generate a receiving signal and a response wave is transmitted from a coil 21 using the electromagnetic energy of a discrete resonator 23. The antenna 16 transmits the receiving signal of response wave to a spread spectrum demodulator 17 where the correlation value between the receiving signal and spread signal is determined. A processor/indicator 18 makes a decision that the beacon 2 is present nearby if the correlation value is higher than a preset level and indicates to this effect. Since spread a spectrum interrogation wave and a response wave are used, effect of external noise can be reduced. |
