Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel olefin polymerization catalyst containing a transition metal (e.g. Ti) compound having two kinds of ligands i.e., a cyclopetadienyl group and monovalent bidentate chelate ligand having S, Te, etc., or a combination thereof as the coordinated elements. SOLUTION: An olefin polymerization catalyst containing a transition metal compound of formula I or II is provided. In formula I or II, Cp and Cq are each a group having a cyclopentadienyl skeleton, Cq is covalently bonded to A; M is Ti, Zr or Hf; A is a cavalently crosslinkable group such as a hydrocarbon group, a silane group or oxygen; Y is a halogen, a 1-20C hydrocarbon group, an alkoxyl, an amino or the like; (m) is 1-3; (n) is 0-2; L is a bidentate chelate functional group of formula III; R is X R or R ). In formulas III, X to X are each S, Se, Te or X and X are each O; R denotes X R or R ; and R and R are each a 1-20C hydrocarbon group. An olefin (co)polymer obtained by (co)polymerizing an olefin in the presence of this catalyst has excellent imapct strength, stress cracking resistance, transparency and low- temperature sealability and has low stickiness. |
