UNDERFLOOR STORAGE EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the whole of equipment compact by eliminating a dead space and a useless space and to enable quick storage and takeout of articles while enabling attainment of a maximum storage efficiency under the condition of space-saving. SOLUTION: A plurality of moving train bodies A and B each of which comprises a plurality of trays 2 provided for setting and carrying storage bodies and disposed like a train are juxtaposed on a base 1 provided underground, in the direction Y intersecting perpendicularly the one-dimensional direction X in the horizontal plane. First moving mechanisms 5A and 5B of a gear drive type which drive and move each train of the moving train bodies A and B separately in the direction X in such a manner that the movement can be switched in normal and reverse directions, second moving mechanisms 6A and 6B of the gear drive type which drive and move a single tray 2 in each of the moving train bodies A and B in the direction Y in such a manner that the movement can be switched in normal and reverse directions and conduct delivery of the single tray 2 between the moving train bodies A and B, and an elevator mechanism 14 which is installed at a specified position of a specified moving train body A out of the moving train bodies A and B in a plurality and at a place just below an opening part 16 provided in a floor board 15 and moves the tray 2 up and down between the underfloor and the floor through the opening part 16, are provided.
